"Inclement Weather Makeup Scheduled for
Virginia Beach City Public Schools
Virginia Beach City Public Schools has set its make-up schedule for the recent school closings on November 12 and 13 that were a result of the inclement weather.
February 1 and April 2 will be used as make-up days for students. Originally, these days were staff days with schools closed for students. It is important to note that these make-up days will become regular school days and will cause changes to the current student calendar. January 26 and January 27, which were originally scheduled as exam days, will become full days of instruction for students. Exams will begin January 28 and continue through February 2.
Specific ways the 2009-2010 school calendar will change are:
-
January 26 - Originally a high school exam day. This day will be a regular school day for all students (“B” school day for high and middle schools).
-
January 27 - Originally a high school exam day. This day will be a regular school day for all students (“A” school day for high and middle schools).
-
January 28 - Adjusted dismissal for all students (high school exams A1 & A2)
-
January 29 - Adjusted dismissal for all students (high school exams B1 & B2)
