It has been reported through the grapevine that there have been some problems with the delivery of mail. Basically, some folks have been receiving second notices for some of their bills without having received the original bill.
Our local United States Postal Service (USPS) was contacted regarding this problem. The following is a response (paraphrased for clarity) from USPS.
"Dear Mr. XXXX,
I just wanted to touch base with you regarding the misdelivery problems in the Laurel Cove neighborhood which you brought to our attention. I did speak with your regular mail carrier, Mr. Lomax. Mr. Lomax is an excellent mail carrier, and we do appreciate your positive comments regarding his service. We just filled a vacant replacement carrier position. This is a day off replacement, and he will be filling in on this route once a week. This should resolve your misdelivery problems. Though our other substitutes are required to meet the same standards as the regular carrier, at times they fail to perform satisfactorily. If this should happen again, please contact me at email address Alice.M.Rosazza@usps.gov or at London Bridge Station, 486-8655. If we know exactly what day the misdelivery occurs, we can pinpoint the individual and correct the problem. Please do not hesitate to call me in the event that you have any other delivery issues in the future.
Thank you,
Alice M. Rosazza
